Smith & Wesson American Guardians Program

Offered to Active Sworn Law Enforcement Officers, Limited First Responders and retired military and LEO.

LEO may purchase anything listed here.

First Responders may only purchase CA Approved Roster Handguns, which are noted as CA First Responders.

Who qualifies for the American Guardians program?

Sworn LE (Law Enforcement) State, County and Local Agency Officers Federal LEO – F.B.I., U.S. Marshals, DEA, DHS, etc.

Corrections Officers, including Parole Officers and Probation Officers

Retired LEO with “retired” credentials including Federal, State, County and Local Law Enforcement Academy Cadets with Enrollment Documentation from the Academy

State Licensed Security Companies and State/City Licensed Security Officers

Federal Flight Deck Officers

Court Judges, District Attorneys (including Assistant and Deputy District Attorneys)

First responders including firefighters and rescue personnel with appropriate I.D.

Military (including National Guard): Active, Retired, Active-Reserve, Disabled in any capacity

Veterans Honorably Discharged with Form DD214 (or National Guard equivalent) Program eligibility is also extended to retirees and veterans holding a valid DD-214 or Form NGB-22

This program currently does not have a quantity limit on purchases.

In addition to our discounted prices shown, there is currently $37.19 CA DOJ fees per transaction and CA sales tax.

All completed firearms that are DROS'ed must be picked up in a timely basis. If your thirty day period is completed and not picked up, you will have to perform your DROS background process again and pay all the same fees again plus a reprocessing fee of $50.00 per firearm and storage fees of $1.00 per day per firearm.
